Position Title:

 

Computer Information Systems Instructor

 

Qualifications: 

 

Seeking an instructor to teach Computer Information Systems/Management Information Systems CIP Code 52.1201. Qualified applicants should be proficient in computer programming, networking, software applications and databases. Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in a related discipline with an Instructional Teaching or Vocational Educational Certification or be eligible to become certified. In additional, candidates must possess a minimum of four years of industry related work experience within the field of Information Technology.                               

  1. Minimum 21 years of age.
  2. High School diploma required.
  3. Post-secondary credentials for the program required preferred.
  4. Good communication, organization and interpersonal skills required.
  5. Documented and related, relevant work experience (2-6 years depending on type of certification) to the area of teaching assignment required.
  6. Successful completion of the Occupational Competency Assessment as required by Temple University and the Department of Education
  7. Physical mobility required to perform assigned responsibilities and manage the instructional area.

Job Goal:

 

Professionally fulfill the educational goals and objectives in conjunction with the educational philosophy as prescribed by the Schuylkill Technology Center Joint Operating Committee.

Method of Evaluation:

 

Instructor shall be evaluated in accordance with the board policy governing evaluation of personnel.

 

Terms of Employment:

 

As per the Collective Bargaining Agreement established by the Board; Full time position, schedule congruent with the school year calendar approved by the Joint Operating committee.
