Description

The Schuylkill Technology Center is looking to hire Part-Time (as needed) Instructors for the Adult Education programs for CDL and Heavy equipment Operations to supervise and direct the CDL/Heavy Equipment Operation in the yard/range area.

 

 

Program Specifics:

 

STC operates a 10 week CDL program that operates four (4) times in a calendar year.   

Additionally, there is an evening CDL program that functions one to two times each year.

 

The Heavy Equipment Operations program is a 10 week program that is held twice a year in April and in June. 

 

Part-time instructors’ responsibilities would include but not be limited to supervision and direction of CDL/Heavy Equipment Operation in the yard/range area.

 

Qualifications :

  • Class A Commercial Drivers license with a minimum of 5 years road experience. 
  • Clean Driving Record is required.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide professional, quality work as a teaching faculty member in the classroom, yard, and/or road on an as needed basis.
  • Work includes facilitating student learning in the classroom; supervising students while practicing operational skills on the classroom simulator, in the yard, or on the road
  • providing constructive feedback to students to assist them in improving driving skills
  • preparing students to take the PA state CDL examination
