QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. High school diploma.
  2. At least 5 years experience in driving tractor-trailers and operating heavy equipment.
  3. Possess a CDL and other appropriate licenses.
  4. Experience in Curriculum Development preferred.

Director of Career and Technology

 

SUPERVISES:                 

 

None

 

JOB GOALS:                     

 

To develop, coordinate, and implement an instructional program for training tractor trailer drivers, heavy equipment operators and welding students.

 

RESPONSIBILITES:

 

  1. Maintain and upgrade the curriculum in absence of full-time instructor.
  2. Complete all program requisitions.
  3. Assess all equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed.
  4. Maintain all student academic records for the programs of study you teach.
  5. Assists with funding proposals for corporate training and grant funding
  6. Assists the Financial Aid Office.
  7. Completes such reports as required by the Federal, State, and Local Agencies, the Board of Directors, and Director of CTE
  8. Responsible for scheduling all classroom training activities.
  9. Verifies all time sheets.
  10. Responsible for disciplinary actions of students.
  11. Maintains student time sheets for agency sponsored students.
  12. Responsible for state and local audits.
  13. Plans and conducts graduation exercises for each completed class.
  14. Assist with PTDI Programmatic Certification Processes.
  15. Other duties assigned by the Director of Career and Technology.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

 

This position shall be a part-time as needed. Hourly wage to be established by the Board of Directors annually. This positon will work a varied schedule of day and evening hours as needed based on programmatic scheduling.

 

EVALUATION:

 

Performance of the position will be evaluated annually by the Director of CTE in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s Policy on evaluation of personnel.
