Examples of Duties:
· Acts as a central point of contact for Pennsylvania Department of Education’s 21st Century Community Learning Center grant.
· Maintains excellent knowledge of grant proposal in order to fulfill mandated grant requirements.
· Oversees Schuylkill ACHIEVE sites, activities, and collaborative process between the SIU, participant school districts, and community partners.
· Visits program sites monthly to monitor activities and operations to ensure grant compliance.
· Assists program sites with daily activities and operations as needed.
· Researches best practices in Afterschool to ensure the delivery of high quality programming to students.
· Researches topics, creates presentations, organizes operations, and delivers programming for monthly, on-site professional development meetings for Schuylkill ACHIEVE staff.
· Disseminates an informative professional development meeting minutes to Schuylkill ACHIEVE staff not present during professional development meetings.
· Works directly with Schuylkill ACHIEVE Lead Teacher and school district to complete a Schuylkill ACHIEVE Emergency Readiness Plan.
· Exhibits during school district Open House events to create awareness about the SIU’s Schuylkill ACHIEVE Afterschool Program.
· Assists in the collection and preparation of information for the required yearly state and federal reporting. Information is provided to the External Evaluator.
· Attends yearly, required state and federal (if applicable) 21st CCLC trainings/conferences.
· Maintains positive relations with formal grant community partners and seeks partnerships with additional organizations.
· Coordinates and/or provides professional development, including, but not limited to STEM technology, to district lead teachers and instructors on program components.
· Disseminates program information to program stakeholders that could include direct mailings, print media, or through technology-based methods.
· Coordinates cohort sites with participation in the National Lights on Afterschool Campaign.
· Seeks additional sources of funding for program sustainability, as appropriate.
· Manages the purchase of program components that includes obtaining vendor quotes, creating requisition forms, and processing receipt of supplies documentation.
· Develops surveys, forms, inventory logs and other program specific documents.
· Coordinates events and programs such as “STEM Saturday” with Penn State Schuylkill Campus, “Art Around the World” with Walk-In Art Center, and Summer Programming with Schuylkill Technology Center.
· Collaborates with community partners to implement activities and events as outlined in the grant proposal.
· Coordinates family engagement services available to parents of students in Schuylkill ACHIEVE (adult education classes, computer skill workshops, etc.) and provides information to families for participation.
· Performs any other activities to fulfill grant guidelines as assigned by the Program Supervisor.
