To instruct and guide school age students toward realizing their potential in terms of their intellecuatl growth and development.
The Special Education Instructor for the Schuylkill Technology Center will:
- Secure and review Idividual Education Plans(IEP) in collaboration with the Special Education Supervisor for all identified students attending the Schuylkill Technology Center from the member school districts.
- Inform Schuylkill Technology Center instructors of the IEP contents, particularly the Specially Designed Instruction and any other portions directly related to Schuylkill Technology Center programs including but no limited to:Behavior Support Plans. medical concerns, etc.
- Provide assistance to the Schuylkill Technology Center instructors in the implementeation of the IEP.
- Coordinate the delivery of various Specially Designed Instruction plans within the shop setting, including but not limited to oral testing, review of newly learned materials, etc.
- Monitor the profess of any secure written input for students with IEP and convey this information to the school district contacts.
- Participate in IEP development by completed the Teacher Input Form and submitting it to the students roster teacher.
- Provide the student with instructional support within the program setting in deficit academic skill areas related to the shop.
